An optical patchcord is a standard or custom-made connecting optical cable, terminated on both sides with optical connectors. Patchcords are used to connect devices inside the cabinet, or to connect active elements to an optical path terminated in the cabinet. Patchcords are usually duplex (2x fiber, 4x connector).
