Optical Fiber Probe for Paint Layer Thickness Measurement
This probe is designed and used in the automotive industry for the production and measurement of the thickness of protective coatings on headlights manufactured for vehicles.
The principle of the probe is based on spectroscopic measurement of the thickness of the outer protective coating of reflectors during production within the required tolerances.
The monitoring signal from the LED is emitted onto the surface of the headlight, where it is distributed across the individual surface layers and simultaneously scanned into the spectrometer for subsequent evaluation.
